The church of Santa Maria del Mar is located in the Ribera district of Barcelona, near the port, and was built in the 16th century, between 1,329 and 1,383. The neighborhood was the nerve center of merchants and unions, and it has always been considered that this church must belong to the people of the neighborhood.
La Casa de les Punxes by Puig i Cadafalch
n the middle of the Eixample, part of one e-bike tpur in Barcelona, between two emblematic modernist buildings such as the Casa Milà and the Sagrada Família of the catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, we find Casa Terradas, popularly known as "La Casa de les Punxes". The architect was Josep Puig i Cadafalch, who built the house in 1905.
The Casa Vicens: Gaudí & Modernisme movement
After a great ebike tour Barcelona, have to visit Casa Vicens, located in Vila de Gràcia, was commissioned to the catalan architect Antoni Gaudí in 1883 as a summer residence. The construction was finished in 1885 becoming the first masterpiece of the architect and giving the kick-off to Modernisme movement in Catalonia.
