In the last couple of years, Barcelona has been undergone significant changes in terms of infrastructure and mobility, the latter being a priority on its way to becoming one of the most sustainable European cities. In line with the actions of its Urban Mobility Plan, which aims to minimize air pollution from cars and improve cycling infrastructure, today, Barcelona has more than 200 kilometers of bicycle lanes, an extensive range of on-street parking facilities, signage, and traffic lights. In this context, biking in Barcelona is the best mobility alternative nowadays.
If you are a tourist and interested to explore the city riding a bike, you can find interactive bike line maps that will help you to move around the city the easiest way. However, for tourists, maybe it is not useful to get a bike map if you don't know what routes take you to icon places or local spots, so that, I recommend this Self-guided bike tour through parks, gardens, and beaches. A half-day route for recharge batteries and appreciate the real beauty of Barcelona.
As you probably know, Barcelona is a city that tends to get saturated in the spring and summer seasons and, most people look for alternative activities that put them away from stress and give them a pleasant experience. For those who wish, rent your bike and enjoy the ride!
